A Collection of Prints from pictures painted for the purpose of illustrating the dramatic works of Shakespeare by the artists of Great Britain , London: John and Josiah Boydell 1803, 2 volumes, large 2°, engraved portraits of George III and Queen Charlotte after William Beechey engraved title vignettes and 95 plates only (of 96) after Henry Fuseli William Hamilton James Northcote John Opie Joshua Reynolds George Romney Robert Smirke Benjamin West Joseph Wright and other artists (some spotting of margins, plate I in vol. II damp-stained at outer margin), contemporary straight-grained green morocco, covers with borders in gilt and blind framing a central gilt vignette of Shakespeare, ornate gilt spines (extremities rubbed, some scuff marks, upper cover of vol. II damp-stained), t.e.g. The illustration to Act IV, Scene I, of Midsummer Night's Dream, showing Oberon, Titania, Puck, Bottom and the Fairies, is by Thomas Ryder after Fuseli (sheet size 505 x 700mm).
