a variant of Britains Home Farm set 1F, contents are exactly as set 1F, but with the Nestle World Cow substituted for the standard cow. The cow has the words 'The World's Cow' on one flank, and 'Nestles Milk' on the other flank. The original Whisstock Box has artwork modified from the standard label, with the titling changed from 'A Model Home Farm' to 'Nestle's Home Farm', the set number removed and the words 'THE WORLD'S COW' placed underneath the illustration of the cow, which has itself been changed to show the cow with the map. The box tray and lid sides are covered with brick paper to form walls round the green cobble paper interior top and bottom, as in the standard early set 1F (Joplin JRDK page 114), but the underside of the lid has a paper pond glued in and the tray has a paper on card gate at the top left corner. Equivalent gaps have been cut from the lid sides. These extra play value features are neat enough to have been added in the factory. THE PRESENT SET IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE KNOWN TO EXIST, and may well be a sample made up by Britains for consideration by Nestle's. It is not known whether any further examples were made. (G, farmer's wife arm missing, box F, but label in good condition) (23)
