An album of approx. 88 photographs, c. 1911, principally illustrated with military camps and their construction, as well as the 1911 Delhi Durbar, some ceremonials, topography and scenes of native domestic life, some of the mounts annotated, a handful of mounts annotated, original cloth over boards, oblong 4to; a post-Raj album, Darjeeling, 1954, approx. 60 images, mostly original photographs, but some souvenir photographic prints, including tea pickers, mountain railways, Nepalese figures in traditional dress, Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and Mount Everest, Buddhist temples and shrines, contemporary limp wrappers, oblong 4to; loose photographs of the Waziristan Campaign, 1936-39, including Pashtun military and prisoners-of-wars, Razmak camp, and some later Indian engineering images; Maduro's 32 photographic souvenir cards of the Panama Canal, c. 1910; and approx. 35 Victorian carte de visite portraits, mid-19th c and later, including Nottingham and other East Midlands photographers
