Lengthy instructions relating to expenses connected with his court in Hannover, and signed with his German form of signature. -- GEORGE III, King of England . Document signed ("George R."), St. James, London, 28 March 1796. 2 pages, folio, with seal . Countersigned by the King's Minister, Portland, authorising Monsieur de Bossard to collect "3800...standing in the name of Denis Joseph de Launay, late resident in France" (probably an aristocrat exiled by the revolution). -- GEORGE IV, King of England . Document signed ("George R."), St. James, London, 26 November 1827. 3 pages, folio, with seal . A MENTAL PATIENT'S RELEASE. Countersigned by Lord Lansdowne, a "warrant for the discharge of Jane Cook from Bethlem Hospital, Sussex," where she had been committed following her "acquittal on the grounds of insanity" for a felony tried at Old Bailey in 1819. Signed on page 3 by Elizabeth Folley sister to Jane Cook. (3)
