("The Intent of the Frontispiece" leaf laid down, portrait almost certainly a later facsimile, frontispiece, title and several leaves cropped, occasional spotting and staining, a few short tears). Late 19th-century dark blue crushed morocco gilt by Hammond, spine gilt in compartments, g.e. (Extremities very lightly rubbed). Provenance : Muriel Forteviot (bookplate); Frederick R.
