Model 41 semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Smith & Wesson in 1958. This example was one of the first 1,000 Model 41 pistol manufactured by Smith & Wesson, with commercial production starting at serial number 3,000. The left side of the barrel is stamped "SMITH & WESSON" with the right side bearing the caliber designation. Left side of slide bears Smith & Wesson's trademark logo, with the right side bearing Smith & Wesson's manufacturer information and Springfield, Massachusetts address. Features include a high polish blue finish, 7 - 3/8" barrel, blade front sight, target adjustable rear sight, as well as 2-piece checkered wood thumb rest grips. This example is accompanied by a display case as well as two additional 10-round magazines. Pistol does not fit in display case when grips are on. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting scattered superficial handling marks as well as some spots of silvering beneath the grip panels. Front grip strap is worn through to gray. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips are excellent overall. Case show scattered handling marks overall from handling and storage, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A very nice example of one of the first 1,000 Model 41 pistols produced by Smith & Wesson.
