"VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish with a polished hammer. Factory checkered wood grips with Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with edge wear and a few scratches. Grips have some light wear to the checkering. Clean bore with very good overall rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lock up. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. (B) Colt Officer's Model double action revolver. Made 1937. Left side of the barrel is marked "OFFICERS MODEL 38" between two Maltese crosses. Top of the barrel is marked with the company address. rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame.
