Lot consist of: (A) Smith and Wesson Victory model double action revolver. Made circa 1943. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked on top of the frame. Import marked under the barrel. Assembly numbers on the yolk and frame match. Serials on the barrel, cylinder and butt all match. Round steel barrel with patent date on the top. Half moon blade front sight U notch rear cutout. Original parkerized finish. Smooth finish wood grips, with lanyard ring on the butt. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear. Grips have a few minor chips and gouges. Bore is clean, retaining sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. Hammer and cylinder are tight. Lock up and timing are fine. (B) Colt 1917 double action revolver. Made 1919. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked under the barrel. Markings on the butt have been scrubbed and the lanyard hole filled in. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Springfield Armory arsenal stamp on the right side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and yolk. Barrel has been shortened and a new front sight added. Both front and rear sight have been painted. Original blued finish. Non factory wood grips with checkering. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear. Grips are very good with wear and scratches. Bore is clean, and retains crisp rifling. Timing and lockup are good. Tight hammer and cylinder. Mechanically fine.
