Extremely high condition Winchester Model 52 B Sporting rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1952. Winchester Proof Steel barrel with hooded ramp front sight and no rear sight. Barrel marked with Winchester 2-line address, "MODEL 52 22 L RIFLE", and Winchester proof mark. Blued clip fed bolt action with Speed Lock and bolt with electropencilled matching serial number. Action possibly factory drilled with two holes in rear and front bridges with a factory-installed Lyman 48F rear receiver sight. Gun has blued "SPORTING" marked floorplate and comes with Winchester marked 10-shot magazine. Gun has diamond checkered pistol grip stock with blued widow's peak steel checkered buttplate, early style cheekpiece, Winchester logo grip cap, and ebony forend cap with detachable sling swivel provisions. Gun is missing detachable sling and swivels. CONDITION: 95% plus factory original blue on all metal parts with 95% plus original varnish with sharp checkering with some small handling marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. This rifle needs a box.
