Chancery 4° and Royal half-sheet 8° (188x129mm). Collation: π 2 A-G 8 H 4 a-z u 8 aa-hh 8 ii 4 AA-BB 8 CC 10 DD-II 8 KK 10 (π1r general title, π1v editor's preface, π2r colophon, π2v printer's device of B. Fontana (Husung 147), A1r title of Sermones de aduentu , A1v tabula, A2r text, a1r title of Sermones quadragesimales de poenitentia , a1v blank, a2r tabula, a3r text, aa1r title of Sermones de timore divinorum iudiciorum , aa1v tabula, aa2r text, ii4 blank, Aa1r De divina caritate (etc.), KK9r editor's colophon, KK9v register, KK10v blank). 438 leaves. 48 lines, double column. Type: 1 b :110G (titles and headings), 17:58G (text); 20:75G (editor's colophon and register), 21:84R (editor's preface), foliation printed separately for each work, most spaces with printed guide-letters. 2- to 7-line initials in red. (Small wormholes in final few quires affecting a few letters.) Contemporary pigskin over wooden boards, blindstamped, two brass fore-edge catches, an unlocated shop, Kyriss 153, including stamps 2 and 6. Provenance : some contemporary marginal annotations; Erhard Kolb of Ingolstadt, inscription dated 1529; Wilhelm Hüngerl, inscription dated Seekirchen 1558. Fifth edition, the first edited by Philippus de Rotingo. Bernardino Rasma submitted a letter to the Council of Vienna requesting protection against reprints for this and other proposed books.
