The oversized felt pennant bears lettering that reads; "Welcome Yankees 1955 New York Tokyo" in raised felt along with the Yankee logo. Japanese characters and an animal motif also adorns this rare beauty. Stengel clearly favored the pennant as evidenced by photographs of it hanging in the Stengel home. The pennants in NM-MT condition. Accompanying the pennant is a seldom seen 44-page program from the tour with a beautiful full color batting pose of Mickey Mantle on the cover. Printed entirely in Japanese, it is loaded with photos, articles and statistics of all the Yankee players as well as a section on the history of American baseball.
