16mo red embossed cloth album with 2 clasps, gilt spine and inner edge of boards. With group photo of a school class, 28 cdvs (1860s), 2 small oval tintypes mounted in cdv-sized cards and one gem-sized tintype in cdv-sized card. Most are family portraits, including a pair of twin boys (about 6 or 7 years old) with hand-tinted cheeks and a baby (live!). There are 3 commercial cards: litho of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and litho of Grant Family. There are a couple of Addis, Washington, DC backmarks, particularly a gentleman in uniform and a woman (possibly his wife, as they face each other in the album); some from Hannum, Chester Co. PA; Gumbinski, Brooklyn, E.D.; but most seem to be from Trenton, NJ - Stokes, Bainbridge, Brown. There are also some from Stokes' studio in Weston, NJ, as well as his Trenton studio. Condition: Spine half separated, edges worn.
