Autographed CDV of the armless sideshow performer, Ann E. Leak, inscribed and signed on verso, and dated July 22, 1871: "So you perceive it's really true when hands are lacking, toes will do. Ann E. Leak, Born without arms. Aged 29 yrs. Georgia." 2 CDVs of overweight women, possibly sideshow performers, credited to J.M. Adams (Elgin, IL) and R.A. Lord (New York) as well as a female Albino, no studio credit. Each with trimmed mount. CDV identified on verso as "Chinese Giant Woo-Gow, Labelle King Foo, Paris Exposition, July 14, 1867." With Chinese characters and caption beside the characters indicating that it is an autograph. Verso credit to Thiersault, Paris. Image has lightened, but inked verso remains strong, legible. 2 uncredited CDVs of African men posed in a studio setting. 2 CDVs of musicians, including an aged man holding his violin, credited to Billings & Hough, Lebanon, NH, with 2 cent revenue stamp (clipped corners); and a man with his guitar seated next to another man, possibly a member of his act. Heavily trimmed CDV of Anton Rubinstein, a Russian composer and pianist, with European backmark. 6 CDVs of actors and actresses, most notably Edwin Booth, credited to Silsbee, Case & Co, Boston; uncredited carte of Sarah Bernhardt; Sarony carte of Miss Neilson; 2 Gurney cartes of young actresses, one pencil identified as "Henderson."
