CHAPPUZEAU, Samuel] The History of the Jewels, and of the principal riches of the east and west taken from the relation of divers of the most famous travellers of our age. Attended with fair discoveries, conducing to the knowledge of the universe and trade , London: T. N. for Horbart Kemp, 1671. 24° (hole to I2 with loss of one or two words, title soiled and with a few stains, lightly browned throughout, margins trimmed), contemporary tree calf, contrasting label (label starting to chipp off, extremities somewhat rubbed). Provenance : old inscription "for my Lady Conway" pasted to verso of endpaper; Job. Lousley, ownership inscription dated 1842 to verso of endpaper. FIRST EDITION, containing numerous particulars of the American mines and pearl fisheries. Sabin 32140; Wing C1959.
