I regret much that I am not at liberty to decline this invitation -- I have not been presented to Her Majesty since I had the honour of being made Poet Laureate," (remounted and soiled), with photograph; A two page autograph letter signed by Wilkie Collins, from 12 Harley Street, W., 28th January 1862, arranging an appointment to be photographed, together with the carte de visite photograph; a three- page autograph letter signed by Charles Kingsley, from Eversley Rectory, Winchfield, December 27th 1867, thanking Mr. Watkins for the photographs: "the larger head done originally for the Church of England Portrait Gallery," together with a carte de visite photograph; others include those by John Bright, J.H.
