(Last two leaves with small restoration touching one letter). 19th-century morocco with the Aldine signet centrally placed on covers, g.e. (rubbed). Provenance : 2nd Earl of Powis (1785-1848, signature on front fly-leaf). Very nice and extremely wide-margined copy. Powis acquired the book from the collection of Samuel Butler who succeeded in building up a nearly perfect set of Aldines based on the Renouard collection. Adams C-1985; Renouard Alde 164, 4. M. Fabius QUINTILIANUS. Institutionum oratoriarum libri XII. Venice: Aldine Press, 1522. 4 (207 x 127mm). With woodcut printer's device on title-page and on last leaf, colophon dated 1521.
