.30 M1. 24" barrel length. SN: 5973021. Civilian Marksmanship Program-U.S. Springfield M1 Garand with an 8-shot internal magazine and adjustable rear aperture and blade sights with ear protectors. Parkerized military finish. Satin wood stock has a plain semi pistol grip and forearm with handguards. Item features triple sling swivels, a bayonet lug, and metal buttplate. Markings include "U.S. RIFLE/CAL. .30 M1/SPRINGFIELD ARMORY/5973021" to rear of receiver, "6528287-SA/Y01" to bolt cover, and "SA F6535448 2 56 A226A" followed by a "P", all to right side of barrel. Wood stock is marked with a boxed "CMP/{Eagle}" stamp to left side of stock in front of wrist. Condition: Very good. Bore is lightly frosted. Finish has some minor thinning to barrel and receiver overall, with losses to sharp edges and some light scratches. Wood stock is in great condition with few noticeable defects.
