Measures 9¾x8¼. * 1-page TLs on Stone & Kimball letterhead, dated October 17th (no year). Letter asks Filed to hurry with his proof. 5¼x8. Very creased along one edge. Together six letters, all but two measure 7¾x5. Two letters written by the founder and editor of the Chicago Daily News, general manager of the Associated Press, and a very good friend of Field. The letter written to Field in October 1894 is a lunch invitation to meet Arthur Conan Doyle and members of the Chap Book and Union League Club. Followed by four letters written by his son, who speaks to Field about the "Attic Club" and a few other matters regarding upcoming publications.
