Twenty-four photographs which belonged to a British soldier who served in Palestine during World War I. Haifa, Jerusalem, Ramla, and other places in Palestine, [ca. 1918]. Among the photographs: * photographs of British soldiers, members of Devonshire Engineers (unit in the British Engineering forces). Among them: group photographs, photograph of a football game, photograph of a race, and more. * Photograph of a British army tent camp. * Photograph of General Allenby headquarters in Bir Salim (Spohn Farm). * Photographs of Haifa: rail station, the market, clock tower (El-Jarina mosque), and more. * Photograph of Mary's grave in Jerusalem. * More photographs. Photographs are mounted on 16 paper and cardboard cards and are titled in English on the cards. Total of 24 photographs, Approx. 4X6 cm to 6X11 cm. Mounted on 16 paper and cardboard cards sized approx. 9X14 cm. Good overall condition. Stains (mostly to cards). Some photographs are slightly faded.
