Collection of small cuttings from Biblical and liturgical manuscripts, in Latin, on parchment [late eleventh and twelfth century]five fragments of leaves: (a) the larger part of the foot of a leaf with Isaiah 46, with double column of 19 lines in a rounded early gothic bookhand, initials set off in margin, blank on back, 208 by 260mm., Italy, late eleventh or early twelfth century; (b) cutting from book of Joshua, with double column of 23 lines, indentured at top to fit around a spine of a later book, 180 by 210mm., Italy, twelfth century, with another small cutting (35 by 140mm.) from same leaf; plus another small fragment from a Bible with 13 lines from Galatians 1 (100 by 105mm.) and a small cutting from a Lectionary, with the openings of 14 lines from a column with a reading from John, 153 by 77mm.; all recovered from bindings and hence with scuffs, stains, wormholes and torn or trimmed edges
