Beschreibung:

Colt reintroduced their original black powder series beginning in 1971 with the reintroduction of the 1851 Navy revolver. The black powder series were manufactured by Uberti but assembled and finished in the USA at the Colt factory. To commemorate this reintroduction, Colt built a set of Navy's, one each, for the leaders of the Confederacy and the Union army. Manufactured 4,751 of each. Each revolver comes in the cardboard box along with a cap tin, nipple wrench, bullet mold and powder flask. Both were marked with the general and "NINETEEN SEVENTY ONE", finished in the traditional style of blue and case colors with one piece walnut grips. They have matching serial numbers (252USG and 252REL). Subtle differences; the Lee has a round silver plated trigger guard and backstrap while the Grant has a square nickel plated trigger guard and backstrap. Both guns come in the cardboard box, but also come in their own wood display case. Neither have ever been fired. The Robert E. Lee silver trigger guard shows some tarnishing and age spots. The Ulysses S. Grant has a touch of rust on the wedge. Otherwise, both are in as new condition. Neither of the powder flasks have been opened. Each wooden display case is made of walnut and has the special color lining for each army. Both come with original shipping boxes. Name Value Manufacturer Colt Model 1851 Serial Number 252USG, 252REL Caliber .36 Percussion Barrel Length 7 - 1/2" FFL Status Antique
