Beschreibung:

.45 Colt. 7.5" barrel length. SN: 31305. Martially marked Colt Single Action Army that has a smokeless powder barrel and a blackpowder frame. Features a fixed fluted 6-shot cylinder with a vertical cylinder screw and fixed notch and blade sights. Item has some traces of original bluing and case hardening, with plain one piece walnut grip. Markings include "PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871/PAT. JULY 2. 1872" followed by a "U.S." mark all to left side of frame. Item also has John T. Cleveland "J.T.C." sub-inspector marks to bottom of frame, barrel, and to cylinder. Sub-inspector marks are accompanied by a "P" mark to barrel and cylinder, while the sub-inspector mark on frame has an overlapping "C". Cylinder gate is marked "4620" to underside. Manufactured in 1876. Condition: Fair to good. Bore is bright with some scratching. Item retains only small traces of original finish overall, with pitting to frame, and a grey patina developing overall. Grips are in good condition but have two small pieces of tape to inside, below top grip screws. Grip does not appear to have any cartouches or sub-inspector marks. As mentioned, barrel appears to be a smokeless powder barrel with equal length groove-to-landing ratio, versus blackpowder barrels that have a thin landing and wide grooves. Screws all appear to be original. Lockup is good, action is functional.
