Neil Armstrong or Buzz Aldrin Two rare views of Columbia over the cratered surface of the eastern Sea of Tranquillity and right over Tranquility Base photographed by the Lunar Module crew as they descended to the lunar surface, Apollo 11, 20 July 1969 Vintage chromogenic prints on resin-coated Kodak paper, 20.3 x 25.5 cm (8 x 10 in), [NASA photos no NASA AS11-37-5444 and AS11-37-5447], with THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK watermarks on versos (printed mid-1970's), (NASA/North American Rockwell), (2) Footnotes: Two rare photographs of the separation sequence of the Command Module Columbia, as seen from the LM Eagle prior to the powered descent, and eventually the landing one orbit later. The CM can be seen near the centre of the second photograph, with Tranquility Base landing site directly right of it. 'I guess the question that everyone has in the back of his mind is how do I feel about having to leave them on the lunar surface? ... They know and I know, and Mission Control knows that there are certain categories of malfunction where I just simply light the motor and come home without them.' Michael Collins
