Pender") to Samuel Cooper 9 April 1861. 1 p., 4to . Accepting commission as commander of artillery. Pender was wounded at Gettysburg and died shortly thereafter. -- HINDMAN, Thomas C. (1828-1868) ALS ("T. C. Hindman") to Gen. Walker, Dalton, Ga., 9 January 1864. 1 p., 4to., inlaid . ENDORSEMENTS OF GENERAL WALKER ON VERSO. Hindman declines to comply with a request for information from Walker, and refuses to "admit any inquisitorial rights in you." -- HOKE, Robert (1837-1912). ALS ("R. F. Hoke") to Gen.
