Conrad 1923") on the half-title, light toning to front free endpapers, a photograph of a pictorial envelope sent to Conrad pasted inside upper with an ink note ("Sketch by Joseph Conrad... "Peyrol"") on the front free endpaper, publisher's dark green cloth lettered in gilt on the upper cover and green on the spine, slightly worn at head and foot of spine, DUST-JACKET (short tears with small loss to foot of spine), preserved in morocco-backed solander box, 8vo , T. Fisher Unwin, 1923FootnotesFine presentation copy inscribed to the politician and explorer Robert Cunninghame Graham, whose "appearance and South American travels made him the model for Charles Gould in Nostromo...
