cover The collection, including a few pre-stamp items, 1840 1d. on cover (8), 1841 1d. range of examples on cover, virtually all plated by owner, a good number from earlier plates with Maltese Cross cancellations (two being in blue, six with London numbers in Cross, a few distinctive types, etc.) but mainly later with '1844' numeral types, including a good number with margins all round and neatly cancelled, also a duplicated accumulation of 1864-79 1d. plates (to 223) off cover including a few watermark inverted; mixed condition.
