Cox (James) A descriptive inventory of the several exquisite and magnificent pieces of mechanism and jewellery...made in the Thirteenth Year of...George the Third; For enabling Mr. James Cox ..Jeweller, to dispose of his Museum by way of Lottery, folding engraved frontispiece, part of frontispiece and title dust-soiled, 20th century morocco-backed buckram, spine gilt, rubbed, 8vo, printed by H. Hart, Crane Court, Fleet Street, for Mr. Cox, 1773. ⁂ Rare catalogue listing pieces to be sold by lottery from the museum of James Cox jeweller and goldsmith. Having failed to secure royal patronage Cox was unable to keep the museum afloat. The sale took place in May, 1775.
