Portraits of the Confederate States President present him standing in a dark suit, seated at half-length in a double-breasted jacket, and vignetted in uniform. Varina Davis represented in two different, full-length standing poses: in the first variation, she stands facing slightly to her left, with her hand resting on the back of a chair, and the second shows her wearing a formal dress before a verdant backdrop, with a fan in her right hand. Condition: All with light toning. One Jefferson Davis carte with scattered foxing, and a second with cropped upper corners.
