Darton, publishers.- Elliott (Mary, née Belson) The Baby's Holiday; to which is added The White Lily, 8 hand-coloured etched plates, small tear to pp.9/10 with loss of a few letters, contemporary ink inscription to front pastedown, original pictorial brown wrappers with large wood-engraving of an attempt to get a pony to jump a gate on upper cover and of harvesting on lower, priced "1/6" in ink on upper cover, a little rubbed and soiled, spine slightly worn, [Darton H399(1); Osborne II p.635], W.Darton, Jun., 1812; Early Seeds, to produce Spring Flowers,12 hand-coloured engraved vignettes on 6 plates (numbered according to section in text), some light soiling, foxing to text, pencil scribble to margin of one plate, original printed buff wrappers, "1s/6d Coloured" in ink at head, rubbed and soiled, spine frayed, [Darton H419 (1)], William Darton, [1824]; Mischief not Fun, folding engraved frontispiece, 2 engraved plates, advertisement leaf at end, frontispiece creased and frayed at fore-edge and with short tear to fold slightly extending into image, original printed pale blue wrappers, soiled and stained, [Darton H468; Osborne I p.251], William Darton, [c.1825], first editions, 8vo et infra (3) ⁂ All scarce. The first is not in the British Library, Library Hub lists only the Oxford University copy in the UK (Opie Collection), and 4 more in North America. The second item contains some delightful illustrations of gathering apples, making wine, a boy's school etc., and others not so e.g. the fatal effects of a fire.
