Over three dozen green demantoid dodecahedra are scattered across the surface of this mid-sized cabinet specimen from a rare locality. The largest crystal measures up to 1.5 cm across. These green andradite var. demantoid garnet crystals are being dug from skarn deposits in NW Iran. The dark green color contrasts nicely against the pale green matrix.
