4to (211 x 142mm.), 82 leaves, [a-b8 c6 d-k8 l4], 26-27 lines, roman type, woodcut illustrations, first initial supplied in blue, red paraphs and underlining, yellow infilling of capital letters, contemporary half stamped calf over wooden boards, boards lined with a vellum manuscript sheet containing accounts, single clasp, small wormholes in binding and first leaf, [f5] slightly damaged at upper corner, [k1-2], [k7-8] and [l1-4] lightly foxed, binding slightly rubbed, lower joint cracked at foot, lacking strap
Second edition of this compilation of works, including the Dominican Barbieri's illustrated text on the Sibyls, and text from Vergil rearranged by the late antique Christian writer Proba Falconia in order to describe episodes from the Old and New Testaments.
ISTC notes two editions with the date 1481, one with 70 leaves, and one with 82 leaves; this copy is the later printing containing additional woodcuts. Some of the woodcuts are reused from the earlier edition but some were recut.
