Pictures from Italy, London: published for the author by Bradbury & Evans, 1846, 8°, FIRST EDITION, 4 wood-engraved illustrations by Samuel Palmer original blue fine-diaper cloth stamped in blind [Smith II p.48; Podeschi A98]; The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club, London: Chapman and Hall, 1837, 8°, FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, etched additional title and 42 plates by "Phiz" (lightly browned), contemporary maroon straight-grained morocco with borders in blind and gilt, simple gilt lozenge on each cover, spine gilt, g.e. [Podeschi A16] Provenance: William Wagstaff (bookplate); together with 6 other works by Dickens, including a first edition in book form of Nicholas Nickleby bound uniformally with the above copy of the Pickwick Papers and 2 Galignani editions.
