Browne "Phiz", including 8 'dark' plates, contemporary half green calf, marbled boards, spine gilt with inlaid calf label letetred in gilt, marbled edges, plates offset and spotted, binding rubbed at extremities The third of Dickens' novels to explore life in contemporary England all of which expressed his anger and deep concern at the general conditions and scorn of the governing institutions.
