First Edition in Latin of Books 3 and 4, gothic type, 3 (of 4) folding double leaves, numerous woodcuts, including several illustrations showing the proportions of the human head and 52 (of 60) full-length human figures shown in movement (two to a page). (12½ x 8 1/8 in.), contemporary calf, central gilt arabesque cartouche within two gilt fillet panels, fleurons at corners of inner panel, rebacked in the 19th century, corners restored, edges stained red, joints split, rubbed, occasional slight marginal dampstaining , ruled in red throughout. A now unfortunately imperfect Sammelband of Joachim Camerarius's Latin translations of Dürer's major works on aesthetics and proportion.
