Modern green album: 13 tintypes, 2 albumen photos, 1 ambrotype (damaged, glass only). Hand painted tinted tintype portrait of formally dressed gentleman, 6.5 x 8.25 in. Color portrait, 8 x 10 in., of American Indian woman in mix of traditional and modern attire, wearing red scarf and holding white and blue beaded purse. [With:] Approx. 35 loose CDVs, 9 loose cabinet cards, 21 loose albumen photographs of various sizes, 2 gem sixed tintypes on CDV mount. Also 5 assorted images in various formats, some cased, ranging from 19th-ca 20th century. Photographers' backmarks mostly from Ohio and Indiana, with multiple CDVs identified to B.T. Whinery of Wilmington, OH. Most sitters unidentified though multiple bear the last name of Hale, including "Sarah Brown Hale" first wife of Fred. R. Hale of Wilmington. Together, approx. 100 items. Conditions vary, generally good with expected wear and toning given age.
