ED STEELE'S "SENADORES" JERSEY A flannel jersey from the late 1940's or early 50's "Senadores" of the Puerto Rican League. The uniform has the team name on the front with the capital dome on the sleeve. The jersey was worn by Ed Steele and the words Ed Steele's Jersey from 1947 P.R. Lyman Bostock are printed in the collar. The back of the jersey had the number 21 and the name Colran on it, (sponsor of the team), a scarce uniform type from an era when Puerto Rico provided Negro League Players a venue during the winter. Steele played from 1941 to 1950. In 1948 he was a teammate of Willie Mays on the Birmingham Black Barons and was an All-Star in 1950.
