HÉBRARD CIRE PERDUE’ (Lugt 658; on the top of the base) bronze with brown patina Height: 15 5/8 in. (39.8 cm.) Original wax model executed in 1885-1890; this bronze version cast by 1923 in an edition numbered A to T, plus two casts reserved for the Degas heirs and the founder Hébrard, marked HER.D and HER respectively Provenance Walther Halvorsen, London (24 April 1923).
