(13x10"), wrappers. El Sereno Country Club's proposed location was four miles from the center of Los Angeles. The club was never built, and here we have a scarce and lovely prospectus for this golf course and country club. It's designer, John Duncan Dunn, was a golf teacher and golf course designer. He opened a series of golf schools on the West Coast, and here in this proposal for a golf course and country club, Dunn lays out his plan for an 18-hole course. It will include windy paths through shady trees, waterfalls, and many natural hazards. In addition to golf, the club provides tennis, trapshooting, swimming, and horseback riding. The club's professional golfer was to be Harry Cooper, the winner of the first ever Los Angeles $10,000 open. Cooper was a prominent PGA golfer in the 1920s and 1930s, winning 31 PGA Tour titles. The assistant golf professional was to be D.E. O'Callaghan. Not located in OCLC/Worldcat.
