This work provides interesting insight into the laws of Elizabethan England, especially concerning the rules governing printing: "And because many Pamphlets, Playes, and Ballads, be oftentimes printed, wherein regard would bee had, that nothing therein should be either hereticall, seditious, or unseemly for Christian eares, her Majestie lykewise commandeth, that no manner of person shall enterprise to Print any such except the same bee to him licenced."
