Gruppé 138 Manhattan Ave." on the reverse, probably in the artist's hand. Oil on canvas, 27 x 23 in. (68.6 x 58.4 cm), in a probable Newcomb-Macklin period frame. Condition: Craquelure, subtle rippling, subtle surface grime. N.B. 138 Manhattan Avenue in New York City was the Gruppe family home from the 1910s to 1970s. (1) 1.
