Also featured on the photos: [military] service at the Valley of El-Gharbia, guard post on the roof of the Phone Center of Burg Street (five days prior to and on the day of the departure of the British), parade celebrating the end of the British Mandate and the Israeli flag hoisting ceremony, Haifa Police at the Hadar HaCarmel, and preparations for the first Yom HaAtzma’ut parade in Haifa.
