English Civil War. A true collection of speeches, arguments, impeachments, messages, and conferences, and other transactions in that memorable Parliament, begun at Westminster, the third day of November, 1640. The II. volume. Collected by the same hand that lately published the weekly Newe or perfect Diurnall. Who promiseth the reader upon his kind acceptance of this, to present him hereafter (God assisting) with a continuation of Parlimentary [sic] proceedings, and military transactions, more methodically and exactly collected and continued till this present time. Humbly presented to the Parliament, London: L. Chapman, 1659, [8], 24, 152, 159-174, 169-184, 177-240, 205-212, [8], 213-220, 233-351, [1], 351-358, 321-335, [1], 385-440, 455-459, 500-534, 24, [2], 6, 14 p., title with early signature W. Hullwood and with 'the II. volume' crossed through in ink, erratic pagination, light damp staining to margins (mostly to initial leaves), bound with: St. John (Oliver), An argument of law concerning the bill of attainder of high-treason of Thomas Earle of Strafford: at a conference in a committee of both Houses of Parliament, London: John Stafford & Francis Eaglesfield, 1641, [2], 46 p., close trimmed to lower margins affecting a few signatures and catchwords, armorial bookplate of Joseph Bennett of Blair Castle, hinges cracked, 19th century blind decorated calf, morocco title label, light wear to extremities, 4to 1.
