Ordered by the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament, That the Excise of Flesh [That the Excise of Salt made in this Kingdome] bee taken off, from and after the foure and twentieth day of this instant June, and that from and after the said day the said excise cease and be no longer paid. Parliamentorum, printed for John Wright at the Kings Head in the Old Bayley, 1647', close-trimmed with small repair and reinforcement to verso, folds, 18 x 14 cm (7 x 5.5 in); the second broadside with 3 orders for raising troops: 'Die Mercurii 11 Aug. 1647. The Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, Doe approve of the late Action of the Officers, Souldiers, and Inhabitants of the Borough of Southwarke [the late action and proceeding of Colonell Blunt; the late action of the Committee of the Militia of the County of Herts in raising the Forces of the said County], and all others that assisted them in joyning with the Army for preservation of the Peace of Parliament, City, and Kingdome; and that thanks be given them for the said Action: And that Colonell Thompson and Master Snelling that serve in Parliament for the said Borough, doe returne them the thankes of the Houses, Joh. Ordered (upon the question) by the Commons assembled in Parliament, that no person, that hath been in actual War against this Parliament, shall be admitted to sit as a member in this Parliament; Die Jovis, 10 Junii, 1647, ...That no person that hath been in actual War against the Parliament, or hath acted by the Commission of Array, or voluntarily, either directly or indirectly, aided the King in this War against the Parliament, shall presume to sit in this House; Resolved, &c.
