English School, circa 1830 Three portraits of Charles Forbes Jackson, in the uniform of the 2nd Bombay Light Cavalry, and an Indian camp scene one signed 'GRR' (lower left) and inscribed 'Charles Forbes Jackson/adjutant 2nd Light Cavalry' (on the reverse), the second inscribed 'Charles Forbes Jackson/adjutant 2nd Light Cavalry', (on the reverse), the third inscribed '2nd Light Cavalry' (along the bottom) and the fourth inscribed and dated 'Camp Varlsa/July 1835' (on the reverse) pencil and watercolour on paper unframed 8 x 12¾in. (20.3 x 32.5cm.) and smaller with Journal of a Route across India, through Egypt to England in the latter end of the year 1817, and the beginning of 1818 , by Lieutenant-Colonel Fitzclarence, published London: 1819, John Murray bound in calf, (worn with loss to spine) (5)
