Indian Sketches; an album of drawings and watercolours from a tour of India, including 101 drawings and watercolours, illustrating temples, local wildlife including elephants, topographical and botanical studies, local people, and temporary military encampments and living quarters, and with coastal views from sea of Ceylon, the Galite Islands, and parts of the Arabian coast, pen and ink, watercolours, pencil, on various papers, includes two albumen photographs, neatly laid onto album leaves, with numerous inscriptions and location details, some extensive, album sheets each c.35 x 25.5 cm. (13 3/4 x 10 in), minor spotting and browning, occassional surface dirt, contemporary gilt title, titled 'Indian Sketches' with artist's initials 'E.C.R.', lacking spine, worn, large 4to, [c.1873-1877].
