Oval, 89mm (3 1/2in) highFootnotesSir John Eden 4th Baronet was the son of Sir Robert Eden, 3rd Baronet (1715-1755) and Mary Davison (1720-1794). He was educated at Eton and graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge with a Master of Arts. Sir John succeeded as 4th Baronet in 1755. He married firstly in 1764, Catherine Thompson, daughter of John Thompson of Kirby Hall and secondly in 1767, Dorothea Johnson, daughter of Peter Johnson of York. Sir John served as MP for County Durham between 1774-1790.
