Hopkinson was a demonstrator in anatomy at the University of Pennsylvania where he also lectured on surgical anatomy and operative surgery. A modern copy of an admission ticket to his 1830 lecture series is laid in. He also wrote on 'malignant cholera'. Scarce volume, all the more so as works published in the United States with hand colored illustrations were rare in the 19th century. Lot Amendments Condition: Wear and soiling to binding with rubbing to leather and extremities; period owners' signatures on front free endpaper, offsetting and foxing to endpapers, scattered foxing, some heavy, plates with a few closed tears and some offsetting and foxing; very good.
