this is a huge archive, spanning this agent's career and no attempt will be made to count the number of pieces. Included are ca 12 binders of documents and photographs, 14 rolls of movie film, super 8mm, 16mm and 8mm and more. Some of the highlights of this archive include 2 signed J.E. Hoover documents from 1927, 5 from 1928, 5 from 1929, 4 from 1930, 12 from 1932, 8 from 34, 5 from 35, 1 from 36, 2 from 37, 1 from 38, 3 from 39, and this does not include the dozens from those years with stamped Hoover signatures; 1934 FBI wanted Poster for Kidnapping, Thomas Henry Robinson, Jr., three 1934 memoranda to agents in Chicago about John Dillinger, two dated April 11 and one April 10; another document authorizes agents to offer a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and capture of George "Baby Face" Nelson. Other case information on the White Slave Trade. Interesting group of charts from 1933 showing trends in various types of crime from Jan to Dec. Over 90 FBI black and white real photo mug shots, most with front and profile views, several of fugitives with non-police photographs copied and sent out by the FBI, including a great 4-image shot of the Ma Barker Gang including Kate, Alvin "Creepy" Karpis (brains of the Barker gang), Edna "Rabbit" Murray (girlfriend of Karpis), Fred Barker, Volney Davis & individual image of Wm. Weaver. Other noted criminals and their ladies include George "Machine-gun" Kelly & Kathryn Thorne Kelly, wife of Machine-gun Kelly, Dr. Joseph P. Moran (M.D. worked for Touchy, in controlling Union in Cicero, until it was taken over by the Capone gang, noted underworld patch-up man, altering fingerprints and faces of criminals, such a Karpis, killed by Barker gang for being greedy), Wm. Weaver, Russel Gibson, Harry Sawyer (owner of Green Lantern Tavern in St. Paul, used by every major bank man in the Midwest as headquarters and hideout), Bryon Bolton, Wilber Underhill, Jess Doyle and Harry Sawyer. Also dozens of photographs of various FBI agent and FBI meetings. Archive includes many period newspaper clippings with manuscript notes from such cases as the Lindbergh kidnapping, Dillinger's death; archive has a large amount of documents about FBI informants and surveillance of organized labor in the 1930's-50's; large number of letters with details about individual fugitives from law; a larger number of document pertaining to communists and socialists in American; several bound FBI Law Enforcement Bulletins. For each of the cases he worked on, Deaderick has a bundled group of documents including expenses, travel itinerary, telephone calls placed, etc. An interesting large document entitled Instructions For Installation of Telephone Taps, marked Confidential. Hundred of mundane documents, for expenses incurred while working, copies of test agent were required to take for promotions, blank finger print cards and other in house bureaucratic stuff. There is a large amount of ephemera such as match book covers, hotel ephemera, maps, including pocket maps, bullet casings pistol holster leather brief case, and a 16mm film projector for viewing some of the films. This archive has much more than listed above and many of the items are stamped Confidential or not to be viewed outside the department. Condition: Most VG to VG+ a few only VG- to G+.
