Ferrari's text was first printed in Rome in 1633 with the text in Latin and the same plates, some of which are by Pietro da Cortona Andrea Sacchi and Guido Reni who all worked for the Barberini, as did Ferrari; he dedicated this work to Anna Colonna Barberini, the niece by marriage of Urban VIII. ICCU records two issues of this 1638 imprint, one with an errata leaf on 3Y6, and one without, as the errata have been corrected within the printed text.
