Rome: G.G.Rossi, [n.d. but ca. 1677-84]. 2 parts in one volume, oblong 2° (354 x 480mm). Engraved throughout, titles and 101 plates by Ferrerio, Falda and others. (First title slightly creased, spotted and with repaired tears to lower margin.) Old speckled calf gilt (rebacked and recornered, section of old spine laid down). Provenance : William Adair (armorial bookplate). Early, intermediate issues, with the alteration to the captions of plates [10], [11] and [12] in the second part to read Cardinal Nerli rather than Massimi . Published by G.G. Rossi, before the plate numbers were added to the bottom right of each plate, but after the addition of Libro Primo [...Secondo] to the titles. The later issues have two more plates. Cf.
